Goal Setting

I have two (2) S.M.A.R.T. goals that I am targeting to achieve before end of 2011:
  1. Learn to swim. I have signed up for swimming lessons at Olympian School of Swimming. Lessons will start end of June. Measurement of success = stay afloat for 2 consecutive minutes and swim 50 meters.
  2. Run for 30 minutes outside, 6 times a week. Measurement of success = ability to run 2.4 km in less than 15:25 minutes.
I hope to have positive ROI. Actuals spent-to-date:
  1. Sportchek = $320.84 (the best of what I need - New Balance, Under Armor, Speedo, blah blah blah)
  2. Olympian School of Swimming = $160 (10 lessons)
  3. Isagenix = $300-ish (sports nutrition healthy type stuff)
I'm an extremist. I hope to find balance and not burn out by trying to achieve my goals 50% faster than planned. Greggy will pull me back when I start losing my mind and going on the deep end (no pun intended).

Here are my very girly, but very good New Balance running shoes. I only wear New Balance for running. Everything else is sub par. Seriously.
