The lowdown on our Florida Keys Trip & My 2 week "Vacation"

I think you can always tell how "scenic" our trip is by the number of photographs I take and post.

Unlike our last trip (Rome, Florence), the Florida Keys, U.S.'s self-proclaimed "American Caribbean", is totally like all other hot, warm weather places we've been to, but more Americanized. Because.... well because it's in the U.S.

Don't get me wrong, the weather was great, we had a great time on our boat, driving around in the Mini Convertible, living the high-ish life in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Apart from being sick from (of all things), wicked wicked Publix Fried Chicken, we had a grand ol' time just kicking it.

But the Keys are lacking in character. Rome and Florence made me gasp in the absolute absurdity of its beauty and history. I took tons and tons of architectural and food pictures.

Florida is Florida. You know what pictures I took (apart from the requisite boat and car shot)? Pelican, rooster, a long necked bird thingy, and pictures of Greggy's half brother's family that we met for the first time.

So that is that. We had a good time, my vacation is almost over and I spent this week working on my military paper. I don't know if I feel relaxed at all, but it was really good to get away (but not great to come back to cold weather and do military work).
